“Whenever we have severe weather and have to take shelter, I open up the basement for anyone who needs shelter. If there are cars in the parking lot, we’re here,” said salon and spa owner Stacey Martin.
Those seeking shelter from the storms are asked to use the outside entrance to the basement instead of the front door of the salon. Should Martin open the basement to the public, she will remain on the premises until everyone leaves.
