Barren Inc., the Barren County Chamber of Commerce, and Grand Marshal sponsor Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop partnered to announce the 2024 Glasgow Christmas Parade theme and Grand Marshal at a press conference on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Get ready to jingle all the way with some rockin’ rhythms this holiday season! Barren Inc. along with Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop are thrilled to announce the theme for this year’s highly anticipated Christmas parade: “Rock n Roll Christmas!” Dust off your leather jackets, strap on your dancing shoes, and prepare for a festive celebration that will have the whole town dancing in the streets.
Adding to the excitement, they also announced that the Glasgow Garden Club has been selected as the 2024 Christmas Parade Grand Marshal! The Glasgow Garden Club has been a cornerstone of our community, beautifying our town with blooming flowers and greenery, and now they’ll lead our parade with flair and festivity.
Whether you’re inspired by classic rock anthems or your favorite Christmas carols with a twist, this year’s theme invites participants to get creative with their floats, costumes, and decorations. Let’s celebrate the season with some toe-tapping, heartwarming holiday cheer that’s sure to be a hit!
Application for participating floats will be released on October 1st and are due no later than Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. Register by Oct. 31 to receive the early bird rate of $25, the cost of registration after will increase to $50 per float.
The Glasgow Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, so mark your calendars, tune up your holiday spirit, and let’s rock this Christmas like never before!
