The T.J. Pavilion Specialty Pharmacy has received accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, according to a press release from T.J. Regional Health.
“Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting a rigorous set of standards for quality and safety, which demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest standards of patient care,” the press release states.
Ryan Burris, manager of the speciality pharmacy, stated in the press release that they serve patients with “often times serious medical conditions.”
“Our pharmacy goes beyond dispensing medication to provide in-depth education, monitoring, and care management that addresses each patient’s unique need,” Burris said. “ACHC accreditation assures that we are meeting the highest standards for quality, safety and consistency.”
Accreditation refers to the official review process that allows organizations “to demonstrate their ability to meet official regulatory requirements and standards,” according to the Accreditation Commission for Health Care’s website. “Requirements differ per accreditation organization, but the intent remains the same: to prove that your healthcare organization’s commitment to meeting accreditation standards results in a higher level of performance and a greater focus on patient care.”
