The Park Mammoth Resort building, which is to the west of Park City, off Louisville Road, was destroyed by an early morning fire on Saturday, April 19.
Around 3 a.m. numerous fire departments and emergency personnel responded to the structure including Rocky Hills, Park City, Cave City, Lincoln, Kyrock, Wingfield, Brownsville, Horse Cave and Chalybeate fire departments as well as a Glasgow FireLadder 2, the Edmonson Sheriff’s Office and Barren-Metcalfe EMS.
Rocky Hill Fire Chief Tim Compton said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. A state fire marshal is anticipated to investigate the cause in the coming weeks, according to outside reporting.
No injuries were reported.
