The Glasgow Independent Schools Board of Education members met briefly on April 21 to set the time and date for graduation, and spring testing dates.
Most of the 30-minute meeting was dedicated to awards and recognitions, after which Superintendent Chad Muhlenkamp turned to the Glasgow High School graduation date. May 23 is the last day for kindergarteners through twelfth graders, according to the district’s 2024-25 academic calendar.
“What we’ve historically done is have graduation the night of the last day for students, and that’s what we’re recommending again this year,” Muhlenkamp said. “It will be on May 23 at 7 p.m. at Glasgow High School.”
Continuing with scheduling matters, Supervisor of Instruction Tara Martin announced the dates for spring testing.
“Our testing window opens May 5 and runs all the way until May 23,” Martin said. “The first week is going to be middle school and high school testing [with] the following week will be the two elementary schools.”
Muhlenkamp told the board members that the newly constructed South Green Elementary made the cover of the Learning By Design magazine and was named a 2025 Outstanding Project, and the board members accepted the School Facilities Construction Commission’s second offer of assistance of $18,686 for “education technology funding.”
