Free, public Wi-Fi is now available in “key outdoor areas” of downtown Glasgow.
The free, public and secure network is made possible by the city’s partnership with the Glasgow Electric Plant Board and is currently limited to the area around the public square and on the courthouse lawn.
“This project is part of our ongoing efforts to make downtown more welcoming, accessible, and vibrant for both residents and visitors,” said Glasgow’s City Administrator April Russell. “We’re grateful for our continued partnership with the EPB in helping bring this vision to life.”
A weak spot exists near the bus stop “adjacent to the square” but equipment is on the way to improve coverage in that area, a city press release stated.
