The decision of who will lead the Southcentral Community and Technical College looms with the announcement of the three finalists.
Ted Lewis, Mike Rodgers and Michelle Trawick are the three finalists announced by the college. As part of the interview process, each finalists will have a public forum. Lewis’ and Trawick’s will both take place on May 28 from 5-6:30 p.m. in building L’s media center and learning commons on SKYCTC’s main campus. Rodgers’ public forum will be the following day, May 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in building L’s second floor lobby.
Lewis is the president and chief administrative officer at Bluefield State University-Beckley in West Virginia, Rodgers is the president of Wilkesboro Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina and Trawick is a distinguished professor of economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, according to the college.
Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting is assisting with the presidential search.
The presidential search publicly began in February 2025 with the college asking for community input at a public forum and in a survey at the main campus in Bowling Green.
