Barren County, Glasgow Independent and Caverna Independent schools have been named 2024-25 National Beta Schools of Merit for offering National Beta to “all eligible grade levels.”
“The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence,” the national website stated.
All three high schools for Barren County, Glasgow and Caverna districts received this distinction as did the three middle schools and all 10 elementary schools, according to the award list.
In a congratulatory letter to the schools, Chief Executive Officer Bobby Hart said “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”
Winning schools received a congratulatory letter, a digital badge, press release, and a National Beta School of Merit window decal. This year, 5,930 Beta Clubs across the country received this award.
Glasgow High School was also named a National Beta School of Distinction, which is “designed to award those schools that show an increase in membership for the current school year.”
