Applications are now open to apply for Kentucky’s United We Learn Council.
The council has 44 members — some of which are from neighboring public school systems like Warren, Adair and Allen county schools — who “will work closely with the Kentucky Department of Education to create new recommendations for a new vision of the state’s assessment and accountability systems, and encouraging vibrant learning experiences for every student.”
“Members of the Kentucky United We Learn Council are important partners for [the department] in charting the future of education in Kentucky,” said Commissioner of Education Robbie Fletcher. “Kentucky is leading the way nationally in bringing in voices from our communities across the Commonwealth to help shape the education our students receive. As we look toward this exciting new project on transforming high school, the input from our students, our families and our communities will be crucial.”
The call for applicants is particularly for “high school students and their families.” The application can be filled out here.
Applications are due by Sept. 26.
