STAFF REPORT
Glasgow News 1
As a reminder, community members who want assistance with obtaining Halloween costumes can get them for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday at the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library.
In order for every child to enjoy the spooky season, the library has been collecting gently used costumes that will be given away for free at Saturday’s drive.
“Prices are going up — everything is super expensive,” said Krista Jones, manager of youth services at the library. “We just want to make sure every kid has an opportunity to have a costume and go trick-or-treating.”
For those would still like to donate outgrown or no-longer-needed costumes, they can be dropped off at the library until Friday. Costumes must not have rips, tears or stains, and makeup will only be accepted if it is unopened. All sizes — even adult sizes — will be accepted, but please do not bring anything inappropriate.
Any costumes left after the Oct. 11 drive will be donated to Goodwill.
Please contact the library with any questions.
