Cave City residents will have a chance to hear about city finances, public safety and code enforcement when the City Council meets Monday, July 13 at 5 p.m.
According to the agenda, council members are scheduled to approve the June regular and special meeting minutes at the start of the session.
Financial items on the agenda include review of June restaurant and transient room tax collections. The document lists a restaurant tax line, a transient room tax line and a transfer to the Tourism Commission, with the combined amount reportedly moving to that commission. Council members are also expected to look at a June cash analysis that includes savings for the police department and a checking balance for the fire department.
Under new business, the council plans to consider an equipment purchase.
The agenda also calls for a closed session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(b) and (c), which covers real property and litigation matters under Kentucky’s open meetings law. After the closed session, the council is set to hear department activity reports.
