Barren County Fiscal Court members are set to review a full slate of financial reports, invoices and program proposals during their meeting Tuesday. The meeting is scheduled for at 9 a.m. on the third floor of the Barren County Government Center of the Glasgow Public Square.
Magistrates are expected to consider the county’s July 2026 monthly financial report from the judge-executive, subject to audit.
The county attorney is scheduled to present the July 2026 monthly settlement report for approval.
The agenda also calls for action on the county clerk’s July 2026 fee report and the sheriff’s July 2026 fee report, both subject to audit.
In addition, the court is expected to acknowledge the sheriff’s 2026 certification of equalized assessment.
Under department and committee reports, fiscal court members will review updates from the coroner, county clerk, jail, parks and recreation department, road department and sheriff.
During new business, magistrates will be asked to approve payment of claims as presented, along with transfers of funds and personnel actions.
The court’s agenda also includes action on the 2026-27 Rural Secondary Program, which will be presented by Terry Williams.
Members are scheduled to vote on a 2027 litter abatement grant agreement that is intended to support cleanup and trash reduction efforts.
Financial items on the agenda include multiple operating invoices for approval.
According to the agenda, those invoices include a $6,004 invoice from Software Management and a $7,500 invoice from Carr Riggs and Ingram.
Other invoices listed include $7,876.37 from Thomas Oil and Fuel, Aramark invoices totaling $16,832.62, and Comprehensive Correctional Care invoices totaling $34,201.88.
Officials say the invoices reflect ongoing county operating costs, including fuel, food services and correctional health care.
The agenda also sets aside time for a discussion of county fire matters with Jeff Botts, as well as closing remarks to wrap up the meeting.
