Glasgow police made a couple of arrests Monday in unrelated cases.
The first is a wanton endangerment case after a Glasgow woman threatened a man and a woman with a weapon. Christian Acree, 35, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, according to a GPD press release.
Glasgow police were called to a residence on Lexington Drive on a disturbance complaint. Officers determined that a verbal altercation led to Acree threatening a man and a woman with a handgun, before the man was able to take the weapon from Acree, the release states. The arrest was made by officer Mathew Rishkofski. Acree remains in the Barren County Detention Center. She has an initial court appearance set for Wednesday.
The second arrest is of a Bowling Green man charged with first-degree possession of methamphetamine, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
Glasgow police responded to a call of a man acting suspiciously on Water Plant Road, according to a GPD press release. John Turner, 34, was found sitting in the grass on the side of the roadway. Officers searched Turner and allegedly found a glass pipe. Turner told officers that he had smoked meth three hours earlier, the release states.
He was arrested by officer Dawson Wooten and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center where he remains. He also has an initial court appearance Wednesday.
