A new person will take the reins at Glasgow Middle School next year as its current principal is being promoted to a district-wide position.
Glasgow Middle School Principal Justin Stinson, who has been the principal there for five years, told Glasgow News 1 that he has accepted the director of transportation position. He will start in his new job on July 1, according to Stinson and Glasgow Independent Schools Superintendent Chad Muhlenkamp.
“I’m excited for the new opportunity, but it’s definitely bittersweet because I love the students and staff at GMS so very much,” Stinson wrote in an email to Glasgow News 1. “I will finish out this school year and assume my new duties [on] July 1.”
Stinson will take over from Cornelius Faulkner, who is listed as the current director of transportation, according to the district website. He will be retiring after this academic year — on Aug. 1, according to Muhlenkamp.
The full-time Glasgow Middle School principal job is posted on the district’s website.
