Kentucky State Police Post 3 has released its traffic safety checkpoints for June.
In Barren County those locations include U.S. 31-W at the Edmonson County line, U.S. 31-W at the Hart County line, U.S. 31-W and Ky. 255, U.S. 31-E and Jack Turner Road, U.S. 68 and Ky. 255 in Boy Ayr, Ky. 70. and Ky. 314, Ky. 70 and Ky. 255, Ky. 70 and Ky. 740 in Hiseville, Ky. 1846 and Old Lexington Road, Ky. 249 about a half-mile south of Glasgow, and Ky. 249 at the Monroe County line. State police check points are not limited to these areas.
“Our agency strives daily to ensure the safety of the motoring public,” a state police press release stated. “Some of these proactive measures include various traffic safety checkpoints and saturating known problematic areas in the district through general patrol tactics. These checkpoints will allow the KSP Post 3 to periodically focus on enforcing Kentucky traffic and regulatory laws, ultimately increasing the safety of citizens in the commonwealth.”
