The Glasgow-Barren County Tourist and Convention Commission approved two event sponsorships during its regular monthly meeting last Tuesday.
The two $1,000 sponsorships are for two events as part of Entertain Glasgow’s series celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary. The first event is on July 31 on Glasgow’s public square and the second is on Aug. 1 at Beaver Creek Park.
In other business, nearly $24,900 was collected in May for the tourism by the City of Glasgow, according to Tina Wood, director of administrative services for the commission.
